As a healing, we define this diet, which corresponds to the disease-damaged organism. It aims at a rapid recovery of the diseased organs and systems of man, balanced nutrition.
The liver performs many important functions in the body – detoxification of alcohol and drugs, treatment of harmful foods, etc. For this reason, he is prone to illness. The treatment of liver damage is accompanied by the application of a specific diet.
Diet No. 5 is a diet designed for the specific needs of the liver. It is recommended for diseases such as acute hepatitis, cholecystitis, chronic hepatitis, cirrhosis, cholelithiasis. It is characterized by a reduction in daily intake of proteins and fats and an increased share of carbohydrates.
Animal fats are completely excluded, proteins are predominantly vegetable. Food should be boiled or baked, avoid fried foods.
At least 5 times a meal is recommended in small portions. Avoid overeating. The low fat content makes the regimen not only curative but also contributes to weight loss.
The goal of the diet is to protect the liver from harmful food and provide adequate nutrition, help normalize its activity, improve bile secretion. The daily intake of calories is about 2400-2600. It is recommended to drink at least 1.5 – 2 liters.
What does it allow and what does the regime ban?
Of pasta products are recommended whole grains – bread, pasta. Avoid white bread and other refined wheat flours as well as oil tests.
Eat soups . Vegetable soups are particularly suitable for liver diseases as well as cereal soups with vegetable broth, beet soup. Products for these soups should not be fried.
Fish, mushrooms and soups containing fatty meats are prohibited.
Meat products are recommended clean meats or low-fat fats without skin, tendons, etc. You can consume pure veal, lamb, chicken, turkey, rabbit meat, no fat. Prepare it by cooking, baking or grilling. Frying is forbidden. The best preparation is cooking.
Avoid eating fatty meats like duck, goose, liver, kidney, brain, sausages.

From vegetables, avoid spinach, radish, sorrel, green onions, garlic, mushrooms, avoid pickled vegetables.
Make small snacks between main meals. These can be fresh fruits and vegetables, salad with olive oil, non-fat fish, low-fat milk, cheese, yellow cheese.
Avoid snacks that are high in fat, pickled foods and eggs.
Fruits and sweets. Fruits can be eaten in any form – raw, cooked, dried, in the form of compotes, jellies, marmalades, etc. Copper consumption is allowed. It is desirable that white sugar be partially replaced with sweeteners. If we aim to lose weight, this is a must.
Avoid chocolate and ice cream.
Spices . Spices such as dill, parsley, cinnamon, vegetable mixes and fruits can be used. It is forbidden mustard, horseradish and pepper.
Drinks . Coffee is not completely forbidden but must be with milk and no more than 1-2 cups a day. From teas, avoid those with high caffeine content. Fruit juices are allowed but avoid those with added sugar. Reduce, and best reject cigarettes.

Fat . Prefer refined vegetable fats.
